sFlow Sample Packet Ingress and Egress Interface

This section provides information on sFlow Sample Packet Ingress and Egress Interface Indexes. Both ingress and egress interface indexes for a sampled packet are included in sFlow, resulting in more accurate data and enhanced tracing of packet paths. Input and output port information in the samples generated by sFlow feature are both included and it impacts only the flow sample, and not the counter sample.

The packets flowing via VLAN, MPLS, or VxLAN report the physical member interfaces.
